FAQ
1. What is "Coming to 2011"?
"Coming to 2011" is an initiative promoted by the Italian Volunteering Movement (Mo.V.I.) which aims to build stronger networks between volunteer organizations and between their coordinating agencies. The basic idea is that a densely cooperative effort is the best strategy for volunteer organizations to gain awareness, suitability as much as cultural and political prominence.
2. Why 2011?
2011 represents a lucky connection, since it will celebrate both the European Year of Volunteering and 150th anniversary of Italian unification. It is a unique opportunity to consider the historical development and the current state of Italian civil society.
3. What is your objective?
We have two goals: on the one hand, by publishing three volumes, we'd like to contribute to a more adequate representation of the historical development of the volunteering/beneficence/solidarity complex; on the other hand, we want to offer all volunteer organisations an open space for discussion.
4. Who can join?
All volunteer organisations and third sector groups can join.
5. I'm a private citizen. What can I do?
If you are interested in contributing to our project in a private way, you can register online and take part in the "Opinions" area. You'll be also updated as soon as new initiatives will start.
